The
New PreView system, a smaller sized, compact design which is ideal
for vehicles that are operated where safety and ruggedness is important,
but space is a concern. The PreView system is designed for on-road
& off road vehicles, commercial vehicles, Class 2-5 (Step-up
vans, Utility vehicles, Delivery vehicles and RV’s), Class
7 & 8 vehicles, school buses, and other methods of transport.
Safety
The PreView system can help save lives and help prevent damage to
vehicles. The system is designed to detect the closest object (whether
stationary or moving, human or inanimate) in the area of coverage
and informs the vehicle operator of its presence.
Cost Effective
With reversing accidents becoming more common and repair costs ever
increasing, the PreView system is a cost effective object detection
device. The PreView system was designed with patented technology
that utilises a minimum number of standard components and is available
at a fraction of the cost of competing systems.
Environmental Noise Pollution
The PreViewTM Radar System integrates with the existing reverse
alarms installed on the vehicle. When a person is detected within
the radar range the reverse alarm is sounded and the driver is warned
with a cab alarm, this reduces the potencial for site complacency
and unnecessary irritation to local residents.
Rugged design
Since no internal adjustments are required, the system has an extremely
long life expectancy and remains virtually maintenance-free throughout
the life of the vehicle.
Resistant to environmental conditions such as moisture, dust, vibration,
heat, cold, sun glare and others. The system has been tested to
comply with the SAE 1455 environmental specification and the system
is CE and e certified.
Distance measuring
The PreView system is based on ‘pulsed’ radar technology
and can measure distance by the amount of time it takes for the
radar signal to ‘see’ an object. In turn, that distance
is then relayed to the in-cab display and to the vehicle operator
through a series of L.E.D’s. The display unit also incorporates
an audible tone that increases in speed as the object becomes closer.
The in-cab display can be mounted on or in the dash of a vehicle.
Simplicity
The PreView system is comprised of the sensor unit, the in-cab display
unit, and the cabling that connects the two. The cable is thin enough
to fit through rails and conduit, making installation simple
