1991 – Approached by Lafarge (Formally Redlands) to produce driver restraint system for mobile plant. The brief was to develop a retro-fit system for restraing operators in a rollover situation. Working closely with the HSE a full harness rollover restraint system was developed.

1992 – Approached by Wimpey Mining PLC to improve visibility on haul trucks working in Ffos Las South Wales.

1993 - Working with Creswell Scientific UK and Orlaco Netherlands the first Convex mirrors and industrialised rear view camera systems were installed at Ffos Las.

1994 - Allroundvision and ARV brands first introduced to the industry. - Tarmac and RMC Quarries start fitting ARV convex mirrors onto Wheeled Loaders - First excavator fitted with ARV convex mirror to see behind counterweight.

1995 - ARV Convex mirrors launched at Hillhead exhibition.

1996 – Identified a need for an industrialised, high quality, bespoke colour flat screen rear view systems. First Optronics colour rear view system installed for RMC, still working today and interchangeable with any Optronics colour rear view part.

1997 - For recognition for work at Ffos Las the Cardiff Times awarded Spillard Plant Ltd with an Award of Merit for services to industry.

1998 - Convex half mirror list price increases to over £200.00 - New manufacturer of convex mirrors sourced, half mirror visibility improved and list price slashed to less than £100.00 - Sign exclusive European distributor agreement with Mirror Lite of America. - MOD award contract to supply visibility aids for new Duece and HWT tractors. - Name changed to Spillard Safety Systems Ltd

1999 - All Round Vision website launched. Visibility studies can now be downloaded from the internet all be it very primitive. - Invited by Finning UK Ltd to produce visibility assessments and improvement packages for Wheeled Loaders and Dumptrucks. - Finning contract awarded to Spillard Safety Systems. - HSE Acknowledge Finning visibility improvement programme

2001 - QNJAC Safety award presented to Finning for their contribution to improving safety within quarries by the installation of all-round vision products ensuring drivers having the best vision that technology allows. - Approached by G Wimpy Homes and UK Forks to investigate the feasibility of installing a combination of convex mirrors to improve visibility on telehandlers.

2002 - Approached by CAMBBA to produce a complete visibility assessment for all mobile plant working on the BNRR (M6 Tol) - JCB fit ARV convex mirror on telehandler at SED 2002

2003 - Genuine product logo launched

2004 - SSS awarded special commendation at SED2004 - Type Approvel, E and CE marking completed on NC100, SC010 and BB052

2005 - Launched M-Series systems for CV market. Aquired the rights to design and manufacture an industrialised ultra sonic detection system for mobile equipment - VCAS

2006 - Spillard now registered trademark, Re-Branding and brand awareness program started with launch of Solutions newsletter, Safety forum and sponsorship of Hydrex Honda superbike and Racing truck.

2006 - Lauched thrid generation RollOver restraint seat and harness.

2007 - SSS Winner of 2007 SED award of excellence for VCAS. ESP Launched, wireless systems developed. Optronics resgistered trademark of Spillard Safety Systems Ltd.
